Tara Blume
Foley Artist · Co-Founder
An Emmy Award–winning Foley artist with five MPSE Golden Reel Awards, Tara Blume has been performing for as long as she can remember. She began training and performing professionally as a dancer and singer at just five years old, eventually earning a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music for voice, where she went on to study Music Production & Engineering.
It was at Berklee that Tara discovered Foley — the perfect collision of performance, sound, rhythm, and storytelling — and immediately fell in love with the craft. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles, landed her first Foley gig, and never looked back.
Today, Tara is the co-founder of The Foley Job, where she leads the stage side of every Foley package — gathering, collecting, and foraging anything imaginable, making their stage a heritage collection of surfaces and props — bringing a performer's instinct, a musician's ear, and more than two decades of experience to every project.
Over the years, she's been incredibly fortunate to have her work recognized with an Emmy and five MPSE Golden Reel Awards — though what she loves most is still the same thing that drew her to Foley in the first place: the synergy she feels in performance, a thrill that has never once faded.
